Am 21./22. März 2025 sind es genau 80 Jahre nach Kriegsende für Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Ich besuchte daher die Schauplätze um Jagdtiger 331 und 323. Die meisten der Gebäude stehen noch und man bekommt einen guten Eindruck davon wie die Situation vor Ort gewesen sein muß.
On March 21/22, 2025, it will be exactly 80 years since the end of the war for Neustadt an der Weinstraße. I therefore visited the locations of Jagdtiger 331 and 323. Most of the buildings are still standing, and you can get a good impression of what the situation on site must have been like.

331 vor Hausnummer 70, im Jahr 1945 mit dem Restaurant „Zur Bahnkurve im Erdgeschoß. Das Bild entstand am 23.03.1945. Das Gebäude ist heute noch fast im Zustand von 1945.

Kreuzung Landauerstraße/Winzigerstraße/Stiftstraße, Jagdtiger 331 auf einem amerikanischen M25 Panzertransporter (40t). Das Gebäude im Hintergrund ist ebenfalls fast unverändert. Das Bild von 1945 ist am 24. oder 25. März 1945 aufgenommen und zeigt den Transport von 331 zur Festwiese in Neustadt.

323 neben der Winzigerstraße vor der Bahnbrücke. Das Gelände auf dem das Fahrzeug stand liegt brach und ist inzwischen Baustelle. Die Perspektive stimmt daher nicht ganz.

323 am 22. März 1945 in der Landauer Straße. Das Fahrzeug ist beim Versuch in dem Garten in Stellung zu gehen festgefahren und konnte nicht mehr geborgen werden. Das Gebäude steht heute offensichtlich leer, die Kante an der der Jagdtiger stand wachsen Gebüsch und Bäume
323 on March 22, 1945, on Landauer Straße. The vehicle became stuck while attempting to take position in the garden and could not be recovered. The building appears to be vacant today, and bushes and trees are growing along the edge where the Jagdtiger once stood.
323 auf der Festwiese in Neustadt, die Stelle ist nicht leicht zu finden, die Bebauung hat sich stark verändert. Ein Gebäude im Hintergrund (Verdeckt durch das Hochhaus) steht allerdings noch und konnte bei der Identifizierung der Stelle helfen. Der Panzer stand bis 1948 auf der Festwiese und wurde dort vor Ort abgewrackt.
323 on the festival grounds in Neustadt, the location is not easy to find as the area has changed significantly. However, a building in the background (hidden by the high-rise) still stands and helped identify the spot. The tank remained on the festival grounds until 1948, where it was dismantled on-site.
